Tackling the Tough Texts of Scripture

The Bible is God’s gracious revelation of Himself and of His plan to save His people, given to humanity. In this sense, Scripture is clear and accessible, with its central message and plain meaning available to all who read it. At the same time, there are passages that can feel difficult or even troubling on first glance. Some present truths that stretch our understanding, others are challenging to interpret, and still others do not immediately seem to fit with what we already know. Most of us have encountered portions of Scripture that leave us with questions.

At Queen Creek Bible, we do not want to avoid any part of God’s Holy Spirit-inspired Word. Instead, we want to approach even the most challenging texts with humility, care, and confidence in God’s goodness. This study will intentionally walk through several of these tough passages, seeking to strengthen the church’s biblical literacy, bring clarity where there is confusion, and, above all, deepen our trust in the Word of God and the God who speaks through it.
